Did the DirectTV HD Channel guide, channel 77, just get rid of my minor image retention (burn-in) on my Plasma

Jonathan P asked:

I believe the white of the channel effectively got rid of some minor image retention. Does this sound fesable?

Absolutely possible. Anytime you get “burn-in” on your plasma, it’s best to tune it to a plain WHITE screen or any other solid bright color and let it sit on the channel for a couple hours.
Of course the best thing to do is avoid letting the burn-in happen in the first place.

    Good info here:

    Oh, Absolutely !

That’s the way to get rid of the burns, it takes time, but the MORE burn you have, the MORE you keep it white…..
