Can anyone help me with my plasma TV?

I just bought a Panasonic Plasma TV from Ultimate Electronics. It was an open box value, meaning it had been on display in the store for several months, turned on. While it was in the store, it was contantly running a DVD, meaning it had the black bars on top and bottom for the wider aspect ratio. When I turn the whole thing on now, there are lines where the black bars ended. I’m pretty sure this is typical “burn in” for plasma, but I’d like to know if it could be temporary. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove these faint, but visible lines?

funny…I believe panasonic should be able to help with that.
\Oh yeah , and the place you bought if from.
Burnins are unfortunately permanent.
However, try WHITE SCREEN for prolonged times may help. If you have it connected to computer, put a white wallpaper, remove any desktop icons, and hide the taskbar. Leave it on at night …
I assume this would burn-in the remaining cells to make it all neutral.
The SONY plasma utilizes that …
Plasmas are always like that. Replace the light bulb.
I hope you didnt pay alot, plasma televisions have a short life span in a houshold environment non-the less in an evironment where it’s on all the time . burn in has a tendency to be permenent .
